Alan Davis

Broker Associate

My career path has blended in a way that has served my different interests well. The intersection of twenty five years in banking and 19 years in real estate have complimented each other and I especially enjoy helping others in this specialized area of home buying and selling. My natural attention to detail and thoroughness have been essential in my role as a Realtor. The areas I specialize in and enjoy are:

  • advise buyers about their mortgage loan options, and helping sellers with questions about how to prepare a home to sell;
  • negotiating difficult repair issues with both buyers and sellers;
  • analyzing costs and also advising clients in their home financing options;
  • following the lender side of the transaction comes easily and I can offer good direction for buyers and sellers in a sometimes challenging process;
  • strong negotiation skills through the contract process as well as during inspections and the second round of negotiating that often comes from that phase;
  • preparing addendum(s) and other documents to facilitate a less stressful transaction. Having all the details in writing can be a very important part of the process;
  • good communication practice and staying on top of keeping the client and the other Realtor(s), title company representatives and lenders up to date;
  • I am a big advocate of doing all that can be done in avoiding surprises. The real estate process is riddled by surprises by nature but I work to minimize that issue;
  • Meeting and connecting with buyers and sellers to understand and make a plan for their next move;
  • Pricing homes and helping buyers and sellers understand how value works in the current appraisal environment and projecting future home values for resale;
  • Enjoying a cooperative relationship with fellow Realtors and promoting, sharing information on seller and buyer needs. Oklahoma City is still a small community and more deals happen than people realize by Realtors networking;
  • LISTEN and PROBLEM solve for our clients before, during and after the sale.
  • Continuing on as our clients real estate advisor – this is an active, lifetime role for us and we love being the communities go-to for all things “house.”
  • My background and education is in Mathematics and Business Management/Finance. I found through my MBA program that I have a strong appreciation for problem solving and helping others cross the bridge of whatever their wants and needs might be to the end goal. This has been rewarding in helping buyers and sellers.

I have throughly enjoyed being an active participant in our local community. I have seen Oklahoma City go through it’s share of ups and downs. It has been wonderful to see the growth and excitement during those times. I grew up in Edgemere Park and Nichols Hills, when downtown was alive and bustling. I also watched the popular neighborhoods and suburbs further north take shape and become home and communities to many. This has given me a built-in knowledge of the history of most of our cities developments and I am grateful for this. It is part of what makes this fun and a living history for me.

My father was right hand man to C.R. Anthony and Executive Vice-President of Anthony’s retail department stores in Oklahoma and surrounding regions. This meant I was raised with the importance of customer service as one of the main aspects to working with people. It is the greatest compliment a client can give us if they come away feeling special because they’ve received good service.
